Η Πηνελόπη Μασούρη σπούδασε φωτογραφία (Focus, Φωτογραφικός Κύκλος, ICP, New York), σκηνοθεσία
(Σχ. Σταυράκου), χορό (Ανάλια) και θέατρο.
Το 1999 κυκλοφόρησε το πρώτο της βιβλίο με πορτρέτα ηθοποιών από τον Α/Μ Ελληνικό κινηματογράφο (Εκδόσεις Αιγόκερως) και τότε έγινε και η πρώτη μεγάλη ατομική της έκθεση στα πλαίσια του 48ου Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου Θεσσαλονίκης και στην Αθήνα στον κινηματογράφο Παλλάς και στη γκαλερί Αστρολάβος.
Το 2002, σε συνεργασία με τον ιστορικό Γιάννη Σολδάτο, τυπώθηκε το λεύκωμα με τα 150 πορτρέτα Ελλήνων συγγραφέων από τις εκδόσεις Σαββάλας – Κοχλίας. Η φωτογραφική έκθεση υπάρχει μόνιμα στο βιβλιοπωλείο «Βιβλιορυθμός». Έκανε φωτογραφία πλατό σε αρκετές ελληνικές ταινίες.
Το 2009 από τις εκδόσεις Ψυχογιός κυκλοφόρησε το φωτογραφικό λεύκωμα Κρήτη: τοπία και άνθρωποι.
Το 2011 από τις εκδόσεις IΚΑΡΟΣ σε συνεργασία με τον κ. Νίκο Βερνίκο κυκλοφόρησε το φωτογραφικό λεύκωμα
"GR-TISTS: δημιουργών εικόνες".
Από το 2000 έχει συνεργασίες με τον περιοδικό τύπο και κυρίως με ΚΛΙΚ, Γυναίκα, Big Fish και Down Town.
BIOGRAPHY
Penelope Massouri studied photography (at Focus, Photographikos Kyklos, ICP, New York), stage-directing (at Stavrakos’ school), dancing (at Analia) and theatre (at Iasmos).
In 1999 she published her first book containing actors’ portraits from the Greek cinema (Aegokeros Publications) and at the same time she hosted her first solo exhibition during the 48th Film Festival in Thessaloniki, while in Athens she presented her work at the cinema “Pallas” and Astrolavos gallery.
In 2002, in collaboration with the historian Giannis Soldatos, they launched a photographic album with 150 portraits of Greek writers published by Savalas Publications – Kochlias. The photo exhibition is on a permanent show at the bookstore “Bibliorythmos”. She also conducted stage photography for various Greek movies.
In 2009, Psychogios publications published her photo album titled Crete: landscape and people.
In 2011, ΙKAROS publications in cooperation with mr Nicolas Vernicos published her photo album titled "GR-TISTS: creators images".
Since 2000 she has been working for various magazines such as KLIK, Gynaika, Big Fish and Down Town.
